John Wall is Contemplating Foot Surgery, Would Miss 6-8 Months

John Wall

Washington Wizards guard John Wall is planning to be operated on his left heel in order to fix bone spurs according to ESPN. Recovery could sideline the point guard for six months. Wall met with specialist Dr. Robert Anderson on Saturday, who recommended the surgery.

Wall missed the Wizards' last game - a 101-92 loss to the Chicago Bulls that saw the team fall to 13-23 on the year. The surgery will fully heal the bone spurs that have nagged him for years.

Scott Brooks frequently hinted that there was something more serious going on with his franchise player because whenever he was asked about Wall's play, he would change the narrative to how the point guard is a warrior for fighting through different injuries.

Wall missed 41 games in the 2017-18 season due to knee injuries, and he has had multiple procedures on his left knee.

While the publications' websites weren't affected, customer service phone lines and time card systems were offline for some time . The Southern California editions of the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times were affected as well, according to Light.

ESPN first reported Wall's plan for surgery, after NBC Sports Washington learned that he was considering the procedure.

The 28-year-old has played a crucial role for the Wizards this season and performed well even through the pain.

In the 32 games he has played in this season, Wall is averaging 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game.
